The history and meaning of the word "Concierge."
The definition that seems to be the most accurate is that which ensures that it concerns comes from the Latin "conservous", which means "the guardian of the lamps" and was the one who was responsible for satisfying every desire or request of the royal visits to the palaces there 400 years ago.
Much later, in France King Louis XI resumed the concept and used it to refer to his trusted staff, who was responsible for satisfying all the demands of his guests to the royal palace; but it was until the year 1500, when the monarchy fell and some refined lodging sites appeared, that the “concierge” took a new direction and became part of the staff of these places to devote themselves to the attention of the guest.
Since 1900, the concierge figure becomes common in hotels, resorts and accommodation and companies of good category.
Today, the concierge figure is present and common, but many people still don't know how to take advantage of this service.
